Another name of the Miom 4 x 6.5 cm.
The "Rex" brand was registered by the “Compagnie Générale d'Electricité”, in January 1933, at the Seine Commercial Court (284872), for a variety of classes of objects, including photography. Format 4x6.5, unusual, made in France in 1936.
The Camera 77 is a variant of the Miom Loisirs which is itself a variant name of the Photax 6 x 9. This bi-format variant (6 x 9 and 4.5 x 6) was intended for the Photo-Plait distributor.
In order to reduce its size, its lens is mounted on a Bakelite tube. The metal ring, which is visible at the base of the tube, allows to take the lens out without rotating the tube, thanks to its spiral ramp. French manufacturing from 1938 to 1939, rare.
