Citroën - DS 20 Break - 1972

This DS 20 Break was delivered new on 30 June 1972. It was brought to the Netherlands on 30 November 1989. The current, second Dutch owner has had the DS for about 14 years and has done a lot to it since. He had the car professionally fitted with a pre-1968 look nose and an original 1968 dashboard. Not because of damage or rust but because of the looks. Nicely done and it looks great. Very unique and complete DS Break with the original roof rack, the rear door which opens in sections and the two original folding seats in the boot. Engine and gearbox overhauled by Langelaar approx. 5,000 km ago. The steering rack was recently replaced and the DS features a new battery. The springs could have the pressure readjusted but otherwise there is nothing to comment on technically. The LPG installation is nicely hidden under the back seat so does not take up any luggage space. The car goes quickly up and down hydraulically. The DS is exempt of road tax in the Netherlands. The car was repainted a few years ago. The red leather interior is immaculate and in new condition and combines beautifully with the dark blue lacquer. The varnish has patina and can do with a cleaning. The car has normal signs of wear and age but still looks exceptionally well for a 46-year-old. Small dent on the rear right door and the rear left door has a small rust spot (see photo 41). This is a DS 20, with a 2.0 engine with 99 HP and a manual gearbox on the steering. The Citroën has a valid Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection until July 2018. We sell this car on behalf of the private owner. This car can be viewed and picked up in Amstelveen, North-Holland, the Netherlands.
