A RARE Royal Decree honouring the leader of the Greek resistance Lela Karagianni, founder of the "Bouboulina" resistance group during the second world war in Greece.
The "Bouboulina" group was founded on 10 May 1941 by Lela Karagianni. Initially, the group focused on helping Allied soldiers to flee to the Middle East. Gradually, the Group has created an effective information network, engaged in acts of sabotage. He has also smuggled 80 Jews of Turkey. However, on July 11, 1944, kichenin was betrayed and arrested, executed two months later.
