This automatic watch is one of the first, because the the low movement number 10449547 dates this bumper automatic watch to 1944. This very rare watch is in original condition, has a beautiful uniform patina on the dial, which has become copper-coloured over the last 70+ years. With its two-tone copper-coloured dial, this watch has a very unique, very chic look. The dial is original, never redone or restored. The central second hand is blued. The minute and hour hands have the original filling. The Arabic numerals 1 to 12 have a beautiful Art Deco style. The watch has the original signed Omega crown and has a diameter of 34.6 mm. The watch looks much bigger on the wrist due to the thin lunette. The thickness including plexiglass is 10.2 mm. Special case lugs. This strap attachment and case shape were first introduced by Omega with this type and later Omega became famous with it by using it for their Constellation series (this is no Constellation). The reference number is 2421-2. On the case back: "Swiss Omega waterproof non-magnetic automatic, shockproof". The calibre is manufactured by Omega, bumper automatic movement 28.10 RA. This is the very first automatic Omega calibre, which was introduced on the market in 1943. The watch comes with a new dark brown crocodile leather strap with the original Omega buckle from that time. Length of the watch (including watch) is 22.5 cm.
