He/she who understands the charm of the French voitures particularly from the 1950s and 1960s will be quite happy now with this lot of 6 Citroëns from those years. De 'tin snail' was thé commercial vehicle for the self- employed and farmers in the 1950s and -60s.
Around the same time the Citroën H was thé type van for business in France, but also in other European countries as a counterpart of the well known VW van.
In 1959, the automotive industry worldwide looked stunned and open-mouthed when Citroën unveiled the ID 19 on the French Motor Show. A beautiful streamlined futuristic model that was not shown before.
In one go many models from other brands were ranked old fashioned and 'out of time'.
Both the sedan and this break were sold for many years in multiple versions with their famous and not surpassed hydropneumatic suspension system, a patent of Citroën.
Altaya and Atlas are the creators of these magnificent six French ‘occasions’, although these 6 are mint in the original packaging!
