Exterior in good condition
Set composed of a “Art Nouveau” tobacco jar in embossed leather (early 20th century) and a snuffbox for tobacco, popular art of the 19th century.
The tobacco jar has a wooded landscape for decoration all around it. Four crossed pinecones on the cap. Pine needles around the cover.
Three small ball feet covered in leather and nailed.
Interior covered with a tin foil (in very good condition on the cover; damaged inside the jar).
Dimensions: Diameter 11 cm (the cover slightly overflows the pot itself); Height 10 cm (including cover and feet).
The pyrographed wooden snuffbox is stained and has the shape of a shoe. The cover is decorated with a woman’s head engraving in ivory. Two small lacks on the hinge (see pictures). Beautiful patina.
