Pioneer SX-6000 brochure Various seventies Pioneer brochures. All photos As well as: One set (2 pieces) AKM003 speaker plugs. Those things often dangled from cables and got lost. They are becoming increasingly rare. Photos 29 to 32 The device has, as can be seen in photo 33 to 40, 5 different lights which correspond to the chosen input, AM, FM, Phono, AUX and Mic(rophone). The chosen speaker outputs A,B and C are also illuminated and indicated in the tuning scale. As can clearly be seen on photo 16 and 19, this SX-6000 does not only have a preamp output, but a centre output as well to drive a centre speaker by means of a (mono) power amplifier. Who wants or has to get rid of rear speakers, one has the possibility to make a 3.1 surround system with a 1971 vintage stereo Pioneer receiver as a centrepiece. The power amplifier also has an own input and can be separately used. Two microphones (left and right) can be connected to the front. Two record players are have access to an excellent MM Phono stage on the back. The reception quality of this receiver is notoriously good. “With two knitting needles as an antenna, you can receive Vladivostok in stereo, thus Armand Vicente van Ommeren in Radio Bulletin.”** Specifications, factory settings: See the last photo for details (no. 45) Power: 2 x 54 watts at 8 ohms.
