Nice set of 6 wine glasses in St Louis crystal, Gavarni model. The Gavarni model is a luxurious model in richly carved strong crystal, dating from the first half of the last century. The feet and bases are carved in the shape of a star, which at St. Louis as well as at Baccarat was often reserved for the top-of-range models. The depth of the cutting gives the set a beautiful shine. The glasses we sell here are an old production not bearing the signature of the crystal glass-making factory (it's in 1936 that St. Louis begun to append its stamp with acid on its productions instead of the old labels formerly used as a signature).
