Goggomobil 250 TS - Goggomobil 250 TS - 1967

This micro car was once adopted as a barn find and subsequently restored as a hobby and not without merit, however, not entirely sleek either (the paint was rolled). The doors do not close neatly and there are some slight imperfections here and there in the form of a small dent for example. The roof could be resprayed to make it look sleeker (small dents and cracks) but you could also mount an original soft top (approx. 600 euros at a supplier). The interior is in very nice condition, the chassis is rock solid and the inside has new lacquer throughout, the bottom has been treated with tectyl. A lot has been invested in the Goggomobil such as new chrome frames, logos etc. Even the original windshield wipers are new. What's left now is finishing things cosmetically and technically. Engine is detached, does not run but has compression and therefore needs to be checked. The brakes and gearbox need to be addressed (they do not work). The tyres have dried out. No papers available, however it does have a chassis number. With some time and money I’m sure the enthusiast can turn this into a beautiful Goggomobil! Nearly all of the parts for these cars can still be purchased effortlessly from various firms (see among others Uwe Staufenberg). Please note; this lot concerns an (unfinished) restoration project! It is recommended to view the car before bidding in order to avoid disappointment. Please contact Catawiki to schedule a viewing appointment. This car can be viewed and picked up in Winterswijk, The Netherlands.
