A pair of Guanmaoyi Huanghuali chairs, Qing dynasty
Two scholarly chairs (official hat yokeback armchairs) also known as Guanmoyi and made of Huanghuali wood. Early Qing period.
Both chairs have a very prominent provenance and are in family ownership for over 80 years. For more info please see the pictures.
C14 certificate from Brussels is included. The authenticity is verified by Lempertz as well as the museum for East Asian art in Cologne.

The chairs have been displayed in the Benappi gallery in London at the beginning of November 2017 as part of the London Asian Art exhibition.
