This figurine was modelled in 2001 by Gerhard Skrobek, Goebel’s master modeler.
Exclusively issued by Goebel for Skrobeks "Farewell Tour" in 2002.
A Limited Edition of 8000 figurines worldwide, what makes this figurine very rare.
"The Final Sculpt" is the last sculpture that Gerhard Skrobek made, at the age of 80.
During his Farewell Tour in 2002, 8000 figurines were distributed worldwide, all signed by Skrobek.
In 2007, Skrobek died in his hometown of Coburg, Germany at the age of 85.
During his long career at Goebel, Skrobek modelled and remodelled many Hummel figurines.
This last sculpture of Skrobek depicts a young modeller for, a self-portrait of Skrobek, while he models the famous sculpture "The Botanist" (Hummel 351).
With a piece of cloth in his hand, he waves "Farewell".
Included with this figurine is a special commemorative medal with an image of Skrobek’s silhouette . The back of this medal is also signed by Skrobek.
Condition: Excellent, new condition.
The original packaging is present.
