This is a ca : 135 years old antique microscope, made by the well known firm of Carl Zeiss Jena , made of brass in its original makers hardwood box. The serial nr.: 10655 match with the number on the wooden box. The brass is in excellent condition , with some wear at the lacquer from old age . It is in original condition with 4 oculars, marked with 1,2,3, and 4 and Carl Zeiss Jena. Also 4 objectives 2 A and 2x D , the 2 marked A,s looks different from each other and all marked Carl Zeiss Jena , they are in there original brass canisters . There are 3 metal round pieces with a hole in it, which can be inserted in the round hole on the stage , this functions as a diafragm . Under the stage is a brass slide which can be taken out and could be used to mount an (accessoire) condensor or maybe a filter , not sure . There is also an adjustable 2 sided mirror . Weight of the microscope in the box compleet is ca: 4kg. Hight of the microscope : 25--30cm.The case has some cracks but nothing bad. Dimensions case : 33x16x10cm.
