Decorative and useful string bean mill of PeDe.

PeDe is the abbreviation for Peter Dienes. This German opened a factory in 1869 in Remscheid that focused on manual coffee mills and later electric mills. The son-in-law of Peter Dienes, Paul Land, bought in 1919 villa Vredenoord at the Breukelsestraatweg 68 in Breukelen. It still exists, as well as a bankrupt cigar factory. Here he also began the manufacturing of PeDe coffee mills, but also with bread cutting machines and, yes, the string bean mill.
The mill shows some wear and tear visible in the pictures.
Dimensions: 28 cm high and 13 cm wide. Weight: 1.2 kg.
