With analogue display, built like the new tube radios, AM / FM (VHF), FM, LW, MW, two shortwave bands 6 - 18 MHz, Tuning LED, The receiver covers VHF, midrange and longwave, and has two shortwave bands for the shortwave of 6 - 18 MHz. Behind the loudspeaker grill on the left side of the front is a small 8 cm diameter speaker. On the right, under a small red glowing LED, the horizontally arranged analogue scale can be found as a tuning indicator. A sliding switch under the frequency scale selects the corresponding band, two further sliders serve as a volume control and a sound panel. Also the on/off switch is in the form of a slide. The tuning knob is located on the right side of the receiver. The RF-788L is one of the first pocketbook-sized travel receivers. As a travel radio it can be easily used to receive local stations on VHF and medium wave. The frequency accuracy in both shortwave is sufficient, Channel display via LEDs.
