Maarten Langbroek (IJmuiden, 17 July 1918 – Harderwijk, 6 April 1985) was a Dutch illustrator, graphic designer and painter. Early 1930s, Langbroek had private lessons with Kees van den Bosch. In 1935 he became a student at the Amsterdam Institute for arts and crafts, where he graduated in 1938. During the Second World War, he had to go into hiding. After the war he worked as an illustrator for various publishing houses and companies. Langbroek made mostly etchings, but also watercolours, with subjects such as marines (with ships of the Holland America line), cityscapes and animals. He was a member of the GVN (Grafisch Vormgevers Nederland). From 1969, he was, besides an artist, also an art teacher at a secondary school. He died in 1981, at the age of 66.
