In good working/used condition, vintage Sony FM/AM stereo radio/receiver of type STR-122 with very good sounding original Sony wooden speakers from 1972/73. The receiver will receive a few stations even without an antenna with a simple two-wire cable, it will pick up station after station on all frequencies. The sound that comes out of the original small Sony speakers is really notable, these very nice speakers can stand or hang on the wall. This type of genuine, vintage Sony radio/receiver with speakers is not often offered for sale, it still works fine after 45 years. The only drawback worth mentioning is that you can hear minor static when you turn on the power button but it’s fine when you turn up the volume, perhaps some contact spray needed? The old speaker wires have been replaced because they no longer were up to scratch. The speakers now have new speaker cables, approx. 3m in length with gold-plated Jackplug plugs (see photos). The receiver and speakers have normal wear, not disturbing, it doesn’t affect the operation of the receiver and speakers. Beautiful and perfectly working vintage stereo hi-fi set for those who love vintage equipment and are perhaps looking for this type of vintage stereo radio/receiver for a cave / hobby room / living room / garage / etc. You will also receive for free a Sony record player type PS-122 (see photos 15 and 16), it needs checking, the engine works properly but the roller grinds somewhat, a fun project for someone who knows what to do, because I don’t. I don’t want to hear any negativity about the record player afterwards as it doesn’t work properly, it’s offered free of charge for repair, it has nothing to do with the technical and visual condition of the receiver and speakers, I just want this to be perfectly clear.
