Picture shows the Hedgehog as a whole and in addition, magnified and in rolled up state. Through the dark background the plaoster is very decorative and suitable for use in a modern interior.
(Wikipedia : The Hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) is a species of mammal in the family of hedgehogs (Erinaceidae). The scientific name of the species was published by Carl Linnaeus in 1758.] The Hedgehog is especially known for its spiny coat and his habit to roll up when in danger. )
Unfortunately, this rolling up did not help against the busy car traffic. And thousands are lost annually in traffic. To get through hibernation well the hedgehog needs to have a high fat percentage. Nowadays there are Hedgehog-shelters where weakened animals are extra fed.
A cosy sniffer in the garden that eats many snails and vermin. And who can become ill of a well intended saucer of milk (cat chunks are better)
