A beautiful compass of the well-known brand Sestrel. Made by Henry Browne & Son Ltd. Presented by Browne, Watts & Co Ltd. Probably used in WW2. On the compass it also says the abbreviation B.O.T. I unfortunately don’t know what these letters mean. The compass is gimbal in 2 uprights and is placed in a bell jar. There is a crack in the bell jar, but the compass itself is in very good condition. On the compass there is the following serial number: B3/2463 Photos are part of the description. Dimensions of the compass are: Diameter: 13,2 cm Height 8.5 cm Diameter gimbal ring 15 cm. Height supports: 12 cm Dimensions bell jar plus wooden frame Base: 35.5 x 20 cm. Glass bell jar: 26.5 x 18 x 14 cm Total height: 17 cm Total weight 5 kg. The compass is very carefully packed and sent insured with track and trace code
