Glass proof with a rotating floral decoration cleared with acid, treated with gold on opaque white background, toned toward the base. Hallmarked V. S. under the base. Height: 12 cm - Diameter: 24 cm. They are goldsmiths whose signature is a cigar cartridge, with a sailboat in the central bulge, between the letters "V" and "S". They were established in the street of d’Enghien 12 in Paris. Their successors continued to use the name Saglier Frères et Cie. Produced creations combined glass and silver metal. Unusual artistic quality, these products were set in a mount of this precious metal. The pattern was worked in repoussé. Their successors were buying their whites at Legras, and then at Pantin and for a long time at Daum.
