This is a old copper anchor light from SS Nieuw Amsterdam I beleve it to be authinic because on the name plate its al unusal to find a name plate on a anchor light .The ship was built for Holland/America Lines in Rotterdam launched 1937 and made 17 voyages then because of the break out of WW2 laidup in New Jersey requisitioned by the British Minstry of Transport for use as a troop transport ship in WW2 handed back to the Holland America line in 1946 refitted and used for the next 20 years as a transatlantic cruseship .This mast light is not only a light but a piece of hystory The light is made of copper and supplied by Davey& London and has a approved stamp from 1954 the light still has its orignal oil burner with glass its old and has the grime cleaned off but not polished,however it has some isuses i think due to the smoke from the funnals and sea air some corrosien has taking place and the copper is cracked in some places please see the photos this could be repaired the fresnel lens is in good condition ,the light is complete and looks good .Size Dia light 250mm dia with cage 300mm height of light 380mm with hoisting handels 700mm weight is aprox 8Kg will be well packed for sending and sent with ?? depending where .

Unfortunately the gimbal ring did not survive the transport. It was already weakened and cracked and broke in one place by the pivot. It is repairable I hope. The compass needs work than I thought.
