A hand-knotted Keshan carpet measuring 316 x 416 cm with a knot density of approx. 350,000 knots per m2 from the 2nd quarter of the twentieth century. The pile is wool and the warp thread cotton with an asymmetrical (Persian knot) stacked.
The carpet is visibly used and has locally thinner places, especially in the midfield. The edges have been professionally restored and the fringes are in good condition.
There is an appraisal report by a Certified Register Appraiser Oriental Carpets attached to the Dutch TMV. In this report, the replacement value is estimated at € 11,000 (in Dutch).
The carpet was exported from Iran before 2015.
