In good condition
A pair of Italian 17th century Baroque period white Carrara marble architectural elements. Each unique wall sculpture displays a finely carved white Carrara winged cherub, with exquisite facial expressions, protruding from a solid marble plinth. The façade is decorated with an inlay of red marble.
The marble elements are currently mounted on a wooden bracket for easy mounting on a wall for decorative purposes but this can easily be removed also. The wooden brackets are a little bit weathered in the paintwork but in very good structural condition. Brackets are added mid-century for mounting the decorative heads in the hallway of a townhouse in the Netherlands.
