Restored collector’s item, very nice optics
This little ERIKA with the serial number 71218 dates back to 1926 and was manufactured by SEIDEL & NAUMANN, Dresden.
It was built from 1910 as an alternative to the large office device IDEAL.
The ERIKA was modelled after the American STANDARD FOLDING as the first German foldable small typewriter.
It is equipped with a 3-row QWERTZ keyboard and double switching.
Due to low weight, its robustness and size - it occupies only a place of 28 x 20 x 13 cm, it was very popular. It was also used, among others, in WWI by the army and also by war reporters.
This device is visually in a beautiful condition, the cover image and the labels have been preserved very clearly. You can write still wonderfully well with her, all buttons work, the ribbon is fine, but it gets stuck sometimes a little bit with the backspace key.
See text sample.
The article involves an original carrying case and cleaning brushes, also original.
The case is the size of the device: 30 x 24 x 15.5 cm
The device will be securely packaged and shipped insured.
