A Ghanta - Mala and Vajra - Dorje - Nepal. The Ghanta is from the mid 19th century - The Mala and the Dorje are from the mid 20th century.
A extremely beautiful set of an authentic Ghanta, Mala and Dorje - Vajra.
The total length of the exceptionally beautiful hand mala, which is made of extremely rare shell beads, is 124 cm!!! The adornments were added later because they were missing.
The Ghanta is 11.9 cm high. Possibly mid 19th century or younger. Diameter of the clock is 9.7 cm.
The Ghanta has a fine, subdued, clear full sound - tone. The clapper is original. Please take not of the deep and full patina, the honest traces of use and the beautiful pure shape.
The Dorje with 16 prongs is 16 cm long, it has a beautiful patina and pure signs of wear. It is a top Vajra - Dorje, which is made of brass. When holding it in your hand, you feel the power and the contact with the other dimension.
Purchased - traded for a Jain bronze with a well-known collector located at the Lange Voorhout in The Hague, in the 1990s (1992).
