A beautifully crafted piece of ivory tusk from former Belgian Congo.
These kind of items were brought back to Belgium around 1935 just before the war by settlers. They were commissioned in the Kasai area of Congo
This bust is finely carved in 1 piece of ivory
Total height 38.5 cm, weight 1189 grams.
Good condition.
The provider guarantees that this object is antique ivory made before 1947, and thus, permitted under CITES regulations. This item will be delivered with a certificate of the Ruyten appraisal office, signed by the appraiser Jan Willem Ruyten.
Will be sent by registered mail only within Europe.
