Before and after the were there were many glassworks. In both districts. We are of course immediately reminded to Val Saint Lambert in Liège, but there were also workshops in the region of Charleroi and Manage, but also in Boom, were similar services were made. Which is in itself not unheard of, as each country used to have its own glass industry.
These glasses are form just before or just after the war and are made of crystal from the workshops of Val Saint Lambert. De Val after all had various works, one that produces top-quality wares for example, and the other average quality. This is a beautiful average quality meant for the middle class. It was rather modern-cut glassware, still a bit between Art Deco and the style of the fifties.
