On the occasion of an invitation to participate in a collective exhibition on the theme of eye and vision, organised by an ophthalmologist surgeon, I imagined the vision of some great modern and avant-garde artists of the end of the 19th and early 20th century
This series, titled 'VISIONS' has arisen out of the Avant-Garde movement on September 15, 2017 and has since then realised 30 different creations each one after a work by an artist that I consider as being one of the pioneers of this first European Avant-Garde movement.
So meet Fernand Léger, Johannes Itten, Auguste Herbin, Ivan Puni, Walter Dexel, Lothar Schreyer, Kandinsky, Sonia Delaunay, Alexandra Exter, Picasso in Rabat, Henri Matisse and many others...
In my way I realise the poetic message composed only of forms and colours to revive these great artists whose works are still young. They are not forgotten, with great commitment they have invented the art that we currently call contemporary.
Their uniqueness is an integral part of our time and has not aged a single bit. Reinventing, reifying their visions is the goal that I set myself for this 31st series.
A poetic and colourful abundance, dislocated, chaotic perhaps, but leaving room for the imagination and Utopia.
