1950, France

1950, France (Paris)

This piece is an untreated beauty, in its original colour without dents or folds in the diffuser, which is very exceptional. In the most rare pieces that are offered, which have adjustable, chromed tubes, the chrome is flaked. On this lamp, the tubes are in magnificent, original condition, with no flaking. This is the most beautiful copy in original condition which I have ever seen.

The SolR lamps were created by Ferdinand Solère in 1952 at 29 Rue Fontaine au Roi in Paris 11th. Ferdinand-Simon (Antoine) Solère has 37 patents to his name, submitted between 1927 and 1979. He designed and produced a large number of machines, accounting instruments, various drawing instruments and industrial lamps. Over the years, SolR or Solère Paris has designed a range of lamps with an ovoid lamp shade to illuminate a wide workspace. The SolR lamps are made of anodised aluminium and are always marked with his logo on the lamp.
SolR lamps from the first production period are rarely offered because there are few usable copies remaining. They are highly sought-after because they fit into every vintage, industrial and modern interior, and excel in simple industrial design with a beautiful wide beam of light. This timeless design is easy to place in different positions and can be extended or made shorter up to a maximum length of 70 cm, due to the telescopic design.

The models that are often offered for sale are the models with the blue diffuser at the bottom of the lamp shade. This model is less rare and does not date from the 1950s, but from the period starting from the 1960s and 1970s.

This first edition lamp of the 1950s is a must-have for anyone looking for authenticity, design and originality. With this first edition design, you will be bringing an authentic and restored beauty into your home, which you will be able to enjoy for a long time.
You can find the original patent of this lamp in the photos. The value of this model increases year after year and will continue to do so in the future.

This copy is an untreated beauty in its pure vintage form.
