Magnificent crusty patina - Used condition, second half of the 20th century
Function: altar piece, ancestor figurine with a propitiatory use.
Population: Dogon from the region of Toro, of the Bandiagara Cliffs, in Mali.
Dimensions: 50 cm.
Materials: hard wood with a strong crusty patina of libation made of crushed millet and sacrificial blood.
State of preservation: good overall condition, the crust is complete and was not frictioned.
Performed restorations: none ; complete piece in good condition.
Provenance: former collection of a former military, collected in situ, depending on the assignments.
