The Vacheron Constantin brand was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, master watchmaker then aged 24. In 1819, François Constantin, travelling salesman in Italy, becomes his partner. In 1877, "Vacheron & Constantin, Fabricants, Genève" becomes the official name of the company, and in 1880 Vacheron & Constantin starts using the logo of the Maltese cross, still in use today. The company continues its activity under the name Vacheron & Constantin. This makes it the oldest watchmaking company in the world with uninterrupted history.
Unique model of wedding watch with a pocket watch movement whose specificity is the key to set the time and wind the watch by manually unscrewing the back and inserting the key through the holes of the transparent double bottom. The key is provided with the watch.
New steel casing of 46 mm with oversized inlets with a transparent back showing an authentic Vacheron & Constantin mechanism. Splendid original enamelled dial with railway, black number markers and red at 12 o'clock, steel "Roman" hands, small second hand at 6 o'clock and inscription Vacheron & Constantin – Genève Suisse. Mechanical movement with key cylinder, with Vacheron Constantin logo, in working condition. Real collector's item. Careful and registered delivery with insurance.
