Unfortunately, the condition is not that good.
This tin box with relatively large dimensions was made by Hoffmann in Thun from Switzerland in the 1930s and shows the most famous mice enthusiasts of all time - Minnie and Mickey Mouse. The lid depicts the beautiful mouse woman, her fiancé, his cousin and Pluto who are in a meadow together. The side of the tin has the ferociously gesticulating mouse pair on it, a discussion the real fans of the films easily recognise. Front and back of the box show Minnie and Mickey walking hand in hand from a lion. The tin box is lithographed in red and yellow and is special because it was made in Switzerland, not in the United States, where this motif was much popular and widespread at this moment.
The box of Mickey Mouse is in not that good condition, but considering the age of the tin, it is a collector’s item and still very nice. The reverse features the manufacturer and the reference number ‘Gebr. Hoffmann, Thun' and a print with the name of the Swiss licensee of Walt Disney, Par aut. de Walt Disney Mickey Mouse S.A. Concessionaire: Disch, Othmarsingen. The dimensions of the tin box are 24 x 20 x 18 cm (length x width x height).
