Portrayed is a medicine man in his typical clothing with his insignia.
The bronze has been made using the lost wax technique, and has a slightly rough surface with inclusions from the cast.

The figure was purchased 40 years ago by Susanne Wenger in Oshogbo. She was the founder of the new Sacred School of Art and architect of a sculpture park which today is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
