Antique Persian Heriz Carpet Circa 1900
|Material:||Wool on cotton|
|Condition:||In good, restored condition|
This is an extremely rare antique wool Persian Heriz large carpet Circa 1900. Measuring 607 x 336 cm (19.9’x11’), it has powerful angular central medallion decorated with bold floral and geometric motifs in red and green main field and surrounded by similarly madder objects along the borders. Apart from its powerful presence in both design and weave, it also shows off its incredible Abrash coloured field. Not often such good re-conditioned and fine Heriz large carpet can be sourced in the market. It is overall in excellent condition being professionally cleaned and washed.
