This is a hand-knotted Kerman rug, made of durable, natural materials. The way it is knotted and the diversity in patterns make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Kerman (or Kirman) is located in the south-east of Iran, at the edge of a desert.
Kerman rugs can be recognised by a centrally placed medallion and a wide border filled with flowers, made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). The base colour is often red.
A Kerman is an excellent rug for regular use, with a high durability.
It is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
This rug was imported from Iran before 2000.
Main colour: Red.
Accent colours: cream, green and shades of blue.
Details: Warm and bright colours; Rich shine.
