This is a hand-knotted Tabriz carpet, made of durable, natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Tabriz is one of Iran's oldest cities. Tabriz rugs come in various designs, they often depict old palaces or ruins. The most common colours are beige, blue and red. They are durable, high-quality rugs, often made of fine wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). A good Tabriz has short and rough pile. They are excellent rugs for regular use, with a high durability.
This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
This rug was imported from Iran before 2000.
Main colour: Red.
Accent colours: Cream, dusty pink, brick-red, green and shades of blue.
Details: Wonderful shine; Rich abrash (natural colour variations).
