The Netherlands, 2nd half 20th century, J.B Wolters Groningen, size 108-75 cm, linen poster between 2 sticks
From the manual: 1961 A summer morning on the river IJ. The large ship, which was anchored and the pinas, who sailed under full sail heading to his berth, are located in the light from the Northeast, so that it sails at the first ship along the port side and at the second along the starboard. In between these ships and along the stern of a flute ship the back front of the country's warehouse becomes visible. A state yacht, that is heading behind the big ship to the ship at the far right, shows in its mirror and in the flags, that it is bringing the high Lords of the Amsterdam Chamber of the Dutch East India Company to one of her ships. Under the bowsprit of this yacht and along the large wooden crane, you’ll get to see a view of the city. The Schreiers tower and behind it the old church tower are two important buildings of the "old side” where the city originated. The right foreground of the scene shows the northern bank of the IJ river, shod with poles. On the left side a Durgerdammer is busy bringing in his nets. The large ship, which, after the release of the anchor, is turned by the wind and is drying its sails, which are being pressed by the east wind against the masts and top masts.
The plate shows light signs of age, see pictures overall impression
