Parker Duofold Limited Edition fountain pen, no. 103/500
The Parker Duofold 2000 Limited Edition was made to celebrate the XXVII Olympics held in Sydney, Australia,
Based on a standard Duofold Centennial, there are a few small changes to adapt the pen to the event, similarly to other small-scale editions by Parker.
Overall design, clip, trim rings on body and cap, ribbon and fill system are all those of a Centennial.
The difference lays in the tassel, which differs from the usual design with a gold plated button with the official logo of the sport event, the text ‘SYDNEY 2000’ and the five Olympic rings.
The changes can be better appreciated on the barrel, featuring a black resin engraved with gold letters ‘SYDNEY 2000’, the official logo of the competition and the five Olympic rings as well as two more rings within each other, where the inside is divided by a diagonal line with the item number on one side and the edition number on the other.
Commercialised in 1997 with edition of only 500 pieces.
