1st half 20th century, Amsterdam
Beautiful sculptures of a boy and a girl with braids, the sculptures have a beautiful green colour with brown accents. The green was used to give them a patinated look, very minor signs of wear, see photos for an impression
Measurements 17-19 cm high, 12 cm in diameter 640 grams
The statue is made of Paridur, this is a composite consisting of plaster and synthetic resin Non-commissioned work
The sculptures are signed Gvp 538 and Gvp 520. After 1920, the Paridon Brothers mainly created Christian religious statues and stopped with classic and modern Art.
Because of the vulnerability of the material (plaster composite), it is rare to see these type of sculptures that are 100 years old and still in such good condition.
