Painter and Art Teacher as a remarkable Master.
Versatile painter from Algarve that distinguished himself by his works in oil painting, watercolour and charcoal drawing. He was also an avid follower of the charcoal drawing technique according to the Allongé method.
In his paintings he portrays various aspects of landscape that surprise by the light tones that fall from the skies in the hour of the day represented by the artist’s work.
Master-Painter Lister Franco preferentially chose the landscape elements in his works, translating in this way, his truly rooted love for Algarve.
His works are located in the National Fine Arts Museum. The illustration was another artistic genre where he stood out, having collaborated with drawings for the Great Portuguese and Brazilian Encyclopedia.
He was awarded the Military Order of Santiago and died in Faro in 1959, at 79 years of age.
