Beautiful old terrine (circa 1940) made of fire resistant by the famous French Manufacture Pillivuyt located in Mehun-sur-Yerre.in central France.
Terrine handpainted trompe l’œil representing a paté-en-croûte topped with a Hare's head. The Hare's eyes are made of glass.
The terrine is stamped ‘Porcelaine à feu – Pillivuyt & Cie – Mehun - France’ on the bottom and is stamped with the number 3.
Length: 22 cm.
Height: 15 cm.
Width: 12 cm.
A small crack without gravity at the bottom of the terrine, otherwise it is in very good condition.
Beautiful old and very decorative object on the hunting theme.
