Superb, complete collector's boxed set of 50 French stamps cast in Sterling Silver “Les plus grands Timbres de France en Argent massif par l'Association international des Receveurs de la Poste” (The greatest stamps of France in Sterling Silver, by the International Association of Postmasters) This set dates from the 1980s. Every stamp has a title, an, explanation, and the hallmark 925 as well as the French Crab hallmark on the back. They are in good condition, but with some light traces of oxidation here and there. The set comes in its two-sided case lined with blue velvet, with two plexiglas plates that cover the stamps to hold them in place. The total weight of all the stamps in Silver 925/1000 is 620 grams.
