André Derain Chatou Yvelines 1880-1954 Garches.
He attended art academy “Camillo” in Paris, where he became friends with Henri Matisse. In 1900, he rented a property in Paris together with Maurice de Vlaminck. They are together considered be the founders of Fafauvisme and in 1920, he won the prestigious Carnegie price and he exhibited in, among others, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, London and New York.
Particularly beautiful piece on paper.
