Dimensions: 24 x 26 x 16 cm. (Height x Depth x Width). Weight: 4 kg / speaker. The SB-PMX-70 was a very successful design and an absolute hit in this range. The speaker sounds mature and is very pleasant to the ear. Behind the cable connectors, a crossover has been placed which divides the incoming signals on the three chassis of the speaker. Panasonic has made something special. Instead of going for the usual 2-way system for this size, the Japanese developers chose to divide the frequency range in three ranges. In the low/middle area, a 140 mm woofer is used with a light and extra stiff cone membrane. Along with the solid housing and the extra long bass reflex tube, these characteristics provide a good impulse response, deep reaching bass reproduction and high power handling. In the high frequency range, Panasonic uses a 25 millimetre soft dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet system. The highlight is the Panasonic super tweeter. With a membrane of only 12 millimetres, this produces the highest frequencies (15,000 to 100,000 Hz!). All my audio equipment is professionally checked and tested.
