Lee Harvey Oswald, born October 18th, 1939 in New Orleans, and murdered on November 24th, 1963, in Dallas, was the main suspect in the assassination of US president John Fitzgerald Kennedy and of police officer J. D. Tippit, according to the findings of two government investigations. However, no trial, nor even the beginning of a judicial investigation, could take place after he was shot by Jack Ruby less than 48 hours after his arrest.
Jacob Leon Rubenstein, who changed his name into Jack Leon Ruby, born on March 25th, 1911 in Chicago, died on January 3rd, 1967 in Dallas, was the owner of a nightclub in Dallas. He murdered Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24th, 1963, two days after the latter had been arrested as a suspect for the assassinations of President Kennedy and officer Tippit.
