Sparta - Villiers - 200 cc - 1950

Recovered after years of standing still; Complete and rideable Sparta Villiers 200cc with original Dutch registration. Even the linen number plate PH-02-57 and a paper registration certificate from 1957 are still included, as well as the original instruction booklet. The date of 1st admission is registered at the Dutch National Road Administration on 30-06-1950, the date issue part 1 on 14-07-1953. Presumably the first day that this Sparta went on the road. Over the years, the previous owner installed a new ignition coil, crank and piston, while the cylinder was honed and cylinder head and bearings were replaced. The battery has been removed and there is now a convenient tool box with a spark plug wrench and more. The lighting can be switched on if the engine is running and working. The both seats are original and in used condition. The front tyre is good, the rear tyre has become a bit dry (due to the standstill). The motorcycle starts, shifts and brakes well. The tank has some wear due to standing still but is not leak. With some extra "Tender Love and Care" (TLC), this Dutch-built motorcycle will be turned into a very reliable vintage again in no time! The motor rides, please see the video on YouTube; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV_dcHm7P04 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPQuJFVg6dQ For more information, please study the photos. If desired, it can be viewed and picked up in Koudekerke, Zeeland. Export is possible; in consultation.
