1969 Chateau Raspail Monopole Gigondas
1969 Vintage Score Rhone Red : 17/20

1972 Gigondas (Belgian Botteld)
1972 Vintage Score Rhone Red : 16/20

The village of Gigondas was a wine-making area until an outbreak of phylloxera left its mark (end of the 19th century). In the wake of the catastrophe, Gigondas turned to olive growing. After the ¿Black Freezes¿ of 1956 that ravaged most of its olive trees, Gigondas returned to its roots with a quality vineyard that was granted the AOC label in 1971. Gigondas wines are characterised by their red colour heightened by flashes of purplish-blue. In its young stages, the Gigondas develops generous and complex aromas of game, red fruits (Morello cherry) and vegetable notes reminiscent of the southern garrigue. After ageing for numerous years, pronounced notes of game, earth and mushrooms come to the forefront as they begin to be expressed through a veil of garrigue aromas. Its significant tannic structure lends Gigondas wine exceptional ageing properties.

1972 Baronnie D'Estouard Chateauneuf-du-Pape
1972 Vintage Score Rhone Red : 16/20

The Chateauneuf Du Pape their intense color passes from the garnet-purple in the young years to the ruby in the middle age. They are structured wines, with a powerful and complex nose of ripe fruit, mushrooms, truffles, underbrush, spicy notes, wild and animal.

1974 Crozes Hermitage Paul Jaboulet Aine
1974 Vintage Score Rhone Red : 14/20

Information on Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert Paul Jaboulet Aîné :
Crozes-Hermitage is the largest of the northern AOC vineyards. Younger than the Hermitage, its southern section that was once used to grow fruit trees was only developed fairly recently. In terms of taste, vinosity and fragrance, Crozes-Hermitage wines are similar to Hermitage without the power or complexity.
A leading name in the Rhône Valley, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné successfully combines modernity and tradition. This was how Antoine Jaboulet came to establish his estate on the Hermitage hills in 1834. Since 2006, the Frey family, owners of the Château La Lagune, have managed the estate.
Made entirely from Syrah, the Crozes-Hermitage of the Thalabert estate is vinified from vines aged between 40 and 60 years-old planted in a rocky plain. After undergoing a malolactic fermentation process, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels of which 20% are new wood.
The Crozes-Hermitage aromatic profile is complex and intense, combining red fruits and animal notes. The wine is characterised by its power.
