In good condition, real Carrara marble
Beautiful pair of lions in Carrara marble, from the 20th century, ca. 1900. This is a copy of the lions created by Canova for the monument to pope Clement XIII, between 1783 and 1792. These two lions are also known as the “sleeping lion” and the “crouching lion”. As shown in the photos, the lions are in excellent condition, with only some small cracks and signs of wear and tear of time.
Please note: it’s real carved Carrara marble, not marble dust, resins or plastic.
Dimensions: cm 30 x cm 11 x cm 15.
