During the 1980’s, New York City saw a peak in Hip Hop culture that gave the youth an avenue to express themselves through performing and visual arts. As a native of Queens, New York, Dos was first exposed to graffiti art seeing the work of legendary Queens, New York graffiti artists such as KR 1, Johnny “B” and Chisy. As early as 1983 the process of creating a name to go by took Dos through a variety of pseudonyms that ended with Dos in 1985. Living steps away from a New York City Sanitation truck yard that graffiti writers would go to tag, Dos also made his mark, and it was from this location the inspiration for Dos was born. “Department of Sanitation: D.O.S.” Into the mid 1990’s the fascination for graffiti and comic book style art was infused by the technical application of line balance and perspective acquired as a student of New York City Technical College. However as the desire to seek purpose through education conflicted with the daily demands of fatherhood, a degree in Architecture came to a halt. Into the early 2000’s Dos took on a reemergence into graffiti as member of the world famous Wallnuts Crew founded by prolific American freight train and New York City subway artist Muse, who with other New York City artists such as Col, Ewok, Cope 2 as well as the legendary New York City subway artist Ree2. With a newly discovered approach to honing a personal style, Dos collaborated on dozens of public art installations throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City with the most notable to date being what is known as “ The Hulk Wall”(2001). Approximately twenty feet tall by one hundred feet long, the Wallnuts Crew painted a depiction of The Incredible Hulk landing on the location Ground Zero angrily surveying the remains of the World Trade Center after the terror. This and many other graffiti murals painted by Dos and friends remain untouched fixtures in the communities that they reside in. Currently Dos is furthering the development of his style which combines the use of his previous studies in architecture, graffiti art infused with elements of 3D printed sculptures.

verkoper kon werk niet sturen voor de verzendkosten die waren berekend. Alternatief was de kunst niet ingelijst te versturen, tegen lagere verzendkosten. In overleg met catawiki aankoop gecanceld.
