Wooden BUCO Pendulum Wall Clock by Baumann Ltd of Switzerland.

Wooden BUCO Pendulum Wall Clock by Baumann Ltd of Switzerland. Full size 11-1/4" height on back board, 7" diameter face. This wonderful 1960-1970's Swiss clock is a reproduction of what is thought to have been the first mechanical clock, Circa 14thC, made by a Frenchman named Foliet. Thus this is often called the Foliet clock. Similar clocks were made by other manufacturers, but the Baumann pieces are considered the highest quality. Made of wood which appears aged. The 3 wheel, weight driven, no recoil movement is not an accurate precision time piece, but a wonderful visible example of clock basics and history. Included are 2 weights. Larger one weighs 2lb 8oz and is 6" x 1-3/4. Smaller one is 3" and weighs 4.8oz. Iron with dimpled bronze finish. Weights will be boxed separately to insure no damage to clock. Original box has intact graphics, and age wear. Sometimes called rock clocks, as rocks were originally used as weights to start the movement. The clock is in working condition. This is a great piece for the clock collector or anyone who wants a wonderful décor item for their home. The clock will be sent by registered mail.
