On offer is a particularly large painting by John Bevort. The image of the painting depicts a stormy beach view. Dimensions including frame: 85 x 75 cm. Dimensions without frame: 70 x 60 cm. The frame and canvas are in excellent condition. It is possible that the frame has signs of wear, but it is definitely not disruptive. Painter John Bevort was educated at the Academy Artibus in Utrecht by Chris Agterberg and G. Nijenhuis. Johannes Hubertus Hendrikus ‘John’ Bévort is particularly renowned for his naturalistic landscapes that are painted with palette knife and works concerning Amsterdam. Bevort settled around 1960 in Schoorl, in the North Holland province and is therefore known as the painter from Schoorl. His work was exhibited in, amongst others, the USA and Germany. John Bevort was a teacher of Peter Brouwer and Gerard Joh. Ernens The painting is also signed on the back and has a stamp on the frame from John Bevort (see pictures 9 to 11). The painting originates from art dealer Breunesse (see picture 12).
